Description
Volkswagen Golf 1.6 Tdi Cabriolet in Amaryllis Red Pearl.
The car has covered just 65600 miles (will rise slightly as the car is being used a little) and it has full volkswagen dealership service history. I am the second owner of the car, the previous owner purchased the car new.
The car is a category S repaired vehicle. I bought the car for my wife from Copart salvage auction, having read the vehicle inspection write up provided on the auction site. Seeing the car was 1 owner and low mileage, I purchased it and repaired it for my wife to use, I have however decided to sell the car as we have found a black 2.0tdi 6 speed variant instead for her. The damage was to the front left corner and it required a headlight, bumper and some bracketry. The bonnet and door were untouched, I have photos of the damage and to be honest I really don’t see why it was category S, it drives very nicely and has obviously been well looked after prior to the accident.
The car has Bluetooth connectivity and has a rare optional extra which is park assist, the car will parallel park for you while you control the pedals - Quite a trick extra for a car of this age.
The car has 4 good all season tyres and the cambelt was done 2 years ago at the main dealer, again please see all photos for service history.
It does have a few age related marks around it but the body work is very straight and the red pearl shines beautifully in the sun.
The power roof works faultlessly and the car is mechanically perfect. Being a 1.6 tdi blue motion it costs just £35.00 per year for road tax and returns excellent fuel economy.
In summary, although this car is categorised, it’s better than one with starship mileage that hasn’t been looked after, personally it’s why I buy cars with small amounts of damage and repair them, you can get a really good car for the money.
Any inspection welcome, the car is taxed, insured and mot’d so test drives are fine.
