Description
Very original vintage Hopf violin, made in Germany at the turn of the 20th century. The makers name was turned into 'Hope' (see close-up) around WW1 to disguise its German origin.
The body is really good and the sound bar is still intact. It wouldn't take much to get this lovely instrument playing again. It will need a new end button.
Comes complete with bow, bridge, string tensioner, pegs, chin rest and contemporary wooden 'coffin' case which again needs a small amount of tlc.
