The Meriva is based on an Astra platform but is more practical and spacious thanks to its MPV design and higher roofline, bringing us on to this cars star feature - SUICIDE DOORS! Yes, just like a Rolls Royce Phantom, but a whole lot more practical! Also like a Phantom, the Merica can be configured for 4 people to stretch out in this car, thanks to a flexible rear seating system that transforms the rear bench into to separate seats at the flick of a switch, giving additional leg and shoulder room to the rear passengers.

Our car is trimmed in ""Life"" spec, which means you get air conditioning, electric front windows and mirrors, as well as cruise control. The Meriva also features a CD stereo that has bluetooth phone and media streaming, so you can take calls while remaining safe and legal behind the wheel. Our car is a normally aspirated 1.4 litre petrol - straightforward and easy to maintain and run. It has a conventional 5 speed gearbox and because it shares a lot of parts with the Astra, replacement parts are cheap and plentiful. This is the last of the Mk2 Merivas and one of the last of the proper Vauxhalls which had such simplicity, and this makes it extremely user-friendly and easy to drive. The car feels safe and capable on the road - The handling and grip are fantastic as are the brakes. It is also highly practical with 5 doors, a generously accommodating interior and even has a decent sized boot. The interior is both stylish and extremely well equipped - It also feels well built with quality materials which give it a high quality feel. The Suicide doors look great but also make it easy to get child seats in and out of the back - The Meriva is perfect for family life and also the higher ride height makes it easy to get in and out, so perfect for anyone struggling with getting in and out of a lower car.

The superb detailing includes lashings of aluminium and chrome detailing for that clean, sexy look. The desirable specification and the metallic, dark silver coachwork ensure that it looks classy.
