Our car is a normally aspirated 1.4 litre petrol - straightforward and easy to maintain and run. It has a conventional 5 speed gearbox and a conventional handbrake. This is the last of the Astras that had such simplicity and this makes it extremely user-friendly and easy to drive. The car feels safe and capable on the road - The handling and grip are fantastic as are the brakes. It is also highly practical with 5 doors, a generously accommodating interior and even has a decent sized boot. This model of Astra offers one of the best drives in its class. The cloth-trimmed sports seats are a signature feature of the SRI model and offer excellent comfort with plenty of lateral support . The interior is both stylish and extremely well equipped - It also feels well built with quality materials which give it a high quality feel.
