2011 Vauxhall Astra 2.0 CDTi SRi in black with approximately 130,000 miles.

It’s the 165PS (163bhp) 2.0 CDTi with the 6-speed manual gearbox. It’s surprisingly quick for a diesel Astra and I normally get around 47mpg.

The car runs and drives extremely well and has had a considerable amount spent on maintenance during my ownership. It has been properly looked after mechanically rather than simply run until something failed.

Recent maintenance includes:

New alternator
New auxiliary belt
New battery
Wheel bearings replaced
New front tyres
New rear brake pads
Recently serviced with fresh engine oil and filter
Gearbox oil changed
Two engine oil changes during my ownership
Items noted at the most recent MOT have since been rectified

MOT until April 2027.

It also comes with an excellent documented history, including the original Vauxhall handbook/service pack, stamped service book and a large folder of invoices and receipts showing maintenance carried out over the years.

The car has also been upgraded with a large Tesla-style touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Maps/navigation, Bluetooth and music streaming. It makes the interior feel considerably more modern than the original Astra system.

The interior is very clean and tidy for the age and mileage, including the seats, carpets and boot.

I want to describe the condition honestly. This is a 2011 car with 130k miles, so the bodywork isn't perfect. There are age-related marks and some areas of rust/corrosion around the front wing, door and lower bodywork. The air conditioning does not currently work.

Everything else works as it should. There are no warning lights or known faults showing on the dashboard, and the car starts, runs and drives very well.

It has been a dependable car and a lot of the maintenance that older cars of this age and mileage can require has already been taken care of. A strong, economical 2.0 diesel that would make a very good daily driver, commuter or motorway car.
