If so, may I present this lovely Astra estate, we've just been and collected.....

Collecting the car from one of the prestige dealerships we use in Derby.
Around 65 miles away, jumping in the car after checking all the levels were ok...
Just over 1/4 of a tank of free diesel, how nice of the last owner...
Pulling onto the A52 , along the "" Brian Clough way"" the car getting up to both speed and temperature quickly.
Sitting at just over 60mph for most of the way back, temp gauge sat perfectly at 90, mid point...
Not a murmur from the suspension, which is strange considering the mot it failed a couple of hours later , but thats a story for later..
The car drove really well, not the quickest car out there, but arriving back into Lincoln with just under the 1/4 tank of fuel left....

CAT N:
So the car has had an insurance claim against it .
its not difficult to see the dents in the rear tailgate, and the crease in the edge of the rear bumper.
What it does mean, is you get a fairly LOW mileage , best engined astra estate for a fraction of the full retail price...

MOT:
So on arrival, after a spot of lunch I took the car for an MOT.
Last year it had an advisory for low emissions, what ever that means , and thats it so I thought it would fly through !
HOWEVER,
Today, it's a few bulbs, a 150 pound exhaust, a 29 pound anti roll bar link, and a 70 pound coil spring.
PLUS labour, and a test fee, so around 330 pounds of my hard earned.
On the plus side, it now has a full mot, 1/4 tank of fuel, and a fresh valet, before its new adventures....

- MECHANIACALS:
The car is powered by the 1.7 cdti engine,
Mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox that does change well.
109 wild horses powered this car from the factory, and most still seem to be there.
Its not the fastest car out there, but the 35 pounds tax and 70 mpg is a good trade off.
The engine sounds well, like a diesel should,
No issues from the clutch or gearbox..
Suspension works well too...

- EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in a lovely metallic grey .
Pretty much unmarked.
It is a real shame its a CAT N with the dented tail gate, as its really is the only marks on the car.
The genuine vauxhall "" false alloy wheel "" plastic wheel trims, look good, and again almost unmarked.
Nice to see, and not a set of Halfords finest trims....

- INTERIOR:
The multi grey striped cloth interior has stood the test of time well.
Yes the car has only done 110k miles, but the last owner of 14 years has obviously looked after the car with regular hoovering, as it only took around 1/2 an hour to clean.
The seats have had a really quick shampoo, just to spruce them up , and all looks well inside.
Headlining is nice and clean, even on the estate boot area..
The only thing to mention, is the slightly ""used"" steering wheel, And even the carpets are nice and clean...

- FEATURES:
- Aircon,
- Cruise control,
- Remote central locking,

- Radio with cd,
and thats about it.....

- THE CAR HAS:
- Full v5, shows 1 previous owner, lost one from April 2012.
- 1 key,
- New 12m mot 06/06/2027 with NO advisories,
- Good history ,
- Original 1st aid kit, warning triangle, all in the boot, and not removed and sold on eBay for a few quid, always a good sign.....

- SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has 7 stamps, all vauxhall main dealership to 2020 and 74067 miles,
There are a further 2 badly hand written ones in the back of the book (?) not sure ??
But last owner from 2012, so there must be invoices for a non franchised mechanic somewhere, just not handed in, on px...

- RUNNING COSTS:
My usual line "" the car costs less than a meal for 4 at spoons to tax for a whole year"", just 35 pounds, The car does 72 mpg on a run, or 47 mpg around town...
Insurance is a quite low group 13.....

So now we source and sell cars direct from the trade we used to work with.

All cars are driven a minimum of 40 miles, so we can assess the creeks and groans.

Most cars ( unless listed as spares or repairs) are sold with a minimum of 6 months MOT, but preferably with a fresh 12 months MOT for peace of mind.

Where possible we source full service history cars.

Our stock changes daily, mainly due to the lower margins we charge to create a higher volume.

I do love the Vw group cars,( VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda ) so you will see a lot of those, plus the smaller engine , cheap to tax and insure cars.
