Nice example of a rare, top-spec VXS Astra Van, factory tuned by Thorney motorsport for the Seward’s dealership. The VXS model has 185BHP - a 35BHP remap over the standard SE, and features all of the available optional extras - including body-kit and spoiler, electric windows and mirrors, aircon, cruise control, auto-wipers, auto-headlights, front fog-lights, “sport” button etc.

It’s very fun to drive, pulls well through all the gears and generally feels like a van half its age.
I’ve owned this van and used it for work for about 6 years, and it’s been well maintained for the whole life of the vehicle. I’m only selling it due to needing a bigger van.

Since owning it, I’ve kept all of the receipts and detailed records of the work that’s been done on it, but most recently it’s had a cambelt & water pump change in September ’26, and 4 brand new tyres (Nexen SU-1) in August ’26. It had a full respray back in 2020 (as detailed below) and it still looks quite tidy for its age.

Mechanically it's close to stock, but a couple of small modifications have been done to address the problems that the 1.9 usually gets. The EGR valve has been blanked off, which improves performance, stops it clogging up and prevents failure of the component. Plus, the swirl flaps have been blocked off to prevent sticking. Unfortunately the engine light stays on because of the EGR blank plate - could have it mapped out but instead I always just reset the code just before the MOT which stopped the light coming back on for a few hours or so. I did mistime it a couple of times, hence the MOT failures in ’23 and ’24!

Below are all of the known faults on the vehicle:

· One-touch electric window not working correctly on passenger side (goes up and down a bit at a time, not the whole way)
· Tiny seep of oil from rocker cover gasket as shown on MOT advisories (new one included in sale)
· Wheels could do with a refurb and one of the centre Vauxhall badges is missing (they sell them on eBay)
· Scuff to NSF corner of bumper
· Scuff to middle of rear spoiler
· 2 tiny dents in tailgate (hard to see in photos)
· Scuff to middle of rear spoiler
· Small stone chip on bonnet
· Sharks’ fin aerial has sun-scorch damage
· Driver’s seat has a rip on the edge
· Arm-rest is worn
· Rear boot fabric strip is a bit tatty
· Various scratches in load area (work van)
