2001 Citroen C15 CHAMP 600 D - 75k - MOT Sept 2027

Description

After four and a half years of faithful service, it’s time to find a new home for my beautiful little C15! It’s covered a little over 75k which is backed up by lots of service history and it has led a very easy life. The first owner used it to move her racing pigeons around London for the first 17 years or so. She passed away and her son inherited the van before moving it on. It has always been in private ownership and this is reflected in its condition.

This little gem has been my daily driver and it’s never left me stranded. We’ve taken it abroad on holiday where she received lots of admiring attention particularly from the Gendarmes at the port and has completed numerous tip runs and collected all manor of things from Facebook marketplace.

I’ve carried out all servicing and repairs and keep every receipt for parts, noting down the mileage and date. To give you an idea of what has been done in my ownership, I have replaced the following parts;

Front shock absorbers, springs, top mounts, bearings
Lower suspension arms
Anti roll bar bushes
Front brake calipers, flexi hoses, brake discs, pads
Front wheel bearings
Driveshafts
Lower engine mount
Gearbox oil
Brake fluid
Rear brake shoes and cylinders
Auxiliary belt, pulley and tensioner
Cam belt kit inc water pump (2 years ago)
Coolant flush
Radiator and lower radiator hose
All tyres (matching set of GT Radials)
Glow plugs
Steering rack boots

In addition to the above I have replaced the oil every 5-6k and replaced other service items when required. The MOT pass today (29/07/26) is the first trip out in several months. It’s been in my double garage having some attention, some of which is listed above. I removed the windscreen to treat some rust at the lower left corner. A mobile welder cut out a small section and welded in fresh metal. I’ve since painted it and reinstalled the windscreen with a new rubber seal. He also cut out a couple of very small bits on the lower edge of the bonnet which have since been painted and are now covered by the bonnet trim. The rest of the body work is very straight. Some lacquer peel to the OSR barn door and a couple of very small bits elsewhere. The roof and bonnet were resprayed by the previous owner due to lacquer peel. No structural welding has ever been done.

The interior is very clean and tidy. The seats are in excellent condition with no stains, wear or holes. The carpets are clean and come with a set of rubber mats. The load area is also very clean with only a few marks commensurate with age. It has the original Blaupunkt radio cassette and the tax disc holder from the supplier dealer ‘Citroen - London West’.

The engine is a little peach and very economical. I’ve never seen less than 50mpg even with the roof rack fitted. It’s actually quite nippy given how little it weighs. No power steering but with skinny little 155 section tyres, it’s really not a chore. I’ve sprayed Bilt Hamber anti corrosion wax into both sills and into the large void under the windscreen. The doors and bonnet are original and in good condition. The only advisory on the MOT was ‘offside sill starting to corrode’ - the same advisory for the past 3 years. Looking back through my pictures, I cannot see any change in this. Furthermore, the Bilt Hamber wax stops any active rust in its tracks.

So why am I selling?! Life is short and there’s many more Citroens I’d like to own. The C15 has been replaced by an early Berlingo multispace with the same engine! I’ve owned around 50 cars since passing my tests and I’ve kept the C15 longer than any other - it’s just so good at everything! I think you’ll struggle to find a cleaner and more genuine example.
