I recently used G7 Removals and Transport for my house move, and I can honestly say it was one of the best moving experiences I have ever had. From the first phone call, the team was extremely professional, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the whole house removals and man with a van service. They explained everything clearly, gave a very fair price, and confirmed the booking quickly which gave me great peace of mind before moving day. On the day of the move, the team arrived exactly on time with a large Luton van fully equipped with blankets, straps, and protective materials, and they immediately started working efficiently. What impressed me the most was how carefully they handled every item, including my sofa, bed, wardrobe, washing machine, and other heavy furniture. They wrapped and protected everything properly and made sure nothing was damaged during the loading process. The movers were very friendly, polite, and extremely hardworking throughout the whole job. They managed the loading, transport, and unloading very smoothly and completed the entire move much faster than I expected. Even with some difficult access and stairs, they remained patient and professional and handled everything with great care. I booked G-7 Removals for a two-man house move based on their advertising, which stated room-to-room placement and a fully equipped service. Unfortunately, the service I received fell well short of this. The team arrived later than the agreed start time. They did not have protective covers for mattresses or TVs, despite this not being stated anywhere in the booking confirmation or advertising as an additional paid extra. As a result, one mattress was left heavily soiled and will require professional cleaning or replacement. Due to the pace of the move, both my husband and I had to assist extensively with loading and unloading, including carrying items upstairs and downstairs, which contradicted the “room-to-room” service described when booking. There were also unexplained delays during the move, and the job exceeded the originally booked duration. Concerns were not raised at the point of payment due to the circumstances on the day, but were raised promptly afterwards. I raised these issues directly with the company, but they declined to meaningfully address them, offering only a minimal goodwill gesture that did not cover the costs incurred. While the majority of items were eventually moved, the overall experience was disappointing and not reflective of the service described at the point of booking. Several points raised here were not communicated to me on the day and were only introduced after I raised my concerns. For clarity: the move ran significantly beyond the four hours booked and paid for; protective coverings were not used on the mattress; and the circumstances surrounding timing and payment caused discomfort on the day. I have retained contemporaneous evidence should it ever be required. My review reflects my genuine experience as a customer, and I will not be engaging further.
