Description
This lovely old Ukulele banjo has been part of my personal collection, in really nice condition, and should interest a collector, or somebody who appreciates vintage instruments.
Prior to sale, I've given her a very light restoration, whilst respecting her patina, so that she comes to you clean, and lovely to play. The wooden pegs turn nicely, and have received a little peg dope.
There is a bit of play wear on the lower fingerboard, but it's mostly colour loss, and the board is still in very good shape with any unevenness fairly mild. Some rubbing at the back of the neck has been given a tiny bit of French polish, just to protect the area, without actually refinishing, as she's probably pre war, and so I'd not want to interfere with what overall is a very respectful condition.
A bit of tarnishing on the chrome is to be expected with an instrument of this age, but it's minimal, and the skin / head is in great condition with only very fair marks. I've added a new set of Aquila strings, and deliberately left them long, so if you are a proper ukulele guy, and want to do any adjustments to the head tension, or fit them in your own way, you can restring with ease.
She comes with her original hard case, which is really nice, and very good indeed structurally. I've left any scuffs etc alone, as the case is also part of the history, and very collectable in it's own right so didn't need any restoration. The latches and handle are great, and there's a small compartment inside.
I'm currently selling quite a few ukuleles (and guitars) from my collection, so check the others out also. I mostly play guitar, so they deserve a home where they'll get played, as I'm not getting any younger.
If you need post, I can do it tracked for around £12.50 - any questions by all means ask.
