I'm prepared to do a sharing deal wth someone local IF they can insure it and make it avaialabe for my occasional use, which would halve the cash requirement & immediate commissioning costs.

This thing is awesome and I don't really want to sell it but I cannot insure this specifical vehicle at a reasonable cost.

After paying the asking price you can expect further expense to the tune of about £1000 realistically, to get the urgent remedial welding and replacement of the forty quid plastic panel that should have protected the underside front...

So for 2500 quid and a bit of organising, what will you get?

It's supremely nice and economical to drive if you don't mind going only slightly faster than a lorry.
When you get to your destination there's a little crane that is really, really, useful to off load or load that motorbike, (keep the engine running, cos whilst it lifts half a tonne it depletes the good battery fast!)

Electric reclining chair, anvil, concrete garage (two trips for that one), generator, car engines (3), power hydraulics and rams, thousand litre diesel tank.. to name a few of the things I've moved with this on my own.

It has a handwash station so you can actually clean your hands after you move or do dirty things. There's a place for your overcoat/overalls and a towel etc...

It has a nice useable lockable "tools and tat" storage on the other side

Despite being used very intermittently, it has never let me down.

There is a spare turbo, but to be honest it stops smoking when you use it for two or three days in a row. it passed it's first MOT in my hands after I'd been using it for a few days, but if you just take it like I did on my second MOT it'll fail on emissions. I had a Saab like that a few years ago, so I didn't feel the need to change the turbo, but I got a quote for the labour of 150 quid in case I ever did. In two or three years of intermittent missions I've found that it comes and goes, except when I used it continually for a month or two when it didn't seem to smoke at all.

It's still worth every penny of my asking price plus the remedial work that you coudl get away with bodging but IMHO would be stupid to pinch pennies on.. (I got a firm quote of 350 quid to "get it through it's MOT", but if I'm keeping it, I want the welding and underbody sorted properly and my ideal buyer would want that too, so expect to pay about £1000 to get off to a good start.

We call it "The Appliance" because it does a bit of everything.

I lean more towards being honest and waiting for the right person to come along. You can ask lots of questions, even come and look at it for the heck of it if you like, and I'll be as honest and transparent as is humanly possible about 15 minutes should be long enough for me to answer your questions, but when you ask; how much do you want for it; I'll tell you It's already in the ad; becuse teh only otehr time Ive seen oen of these it was on ebay for (nearly) double what I'm asking, with no MOT or detailed informaton.
