A charming antique Edwardian mahogany and satinwood serving tray, dating from around the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1880–1910.
The tray is beautifully made in an elongated oval form, featuring an elegant scalloped gallery edge around the circumference. The centre is decorated with a contrasting marquetry shell or scallop-shell inlay, adding a refined decorative touch typical of the period.
Fitted with brass carrying handles to each side, this is a particularly attractive piece suitable for serving afternoon tea, displaying decorative objects, or simply adding period character to a home.
