Description

Location: Lymington – Onsite

Pay Rate: 13.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary (initially approx. 6 months, with potential extension and possible conversion)

Hours: Weekly rotating shift pattern

Week 1:

Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:00pm

Friday: 9:00am–2:00pm

Week 2:

Monday–Thursday: 10:00am–6:00pm

Friday: 11:00am–4:00pm

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail–oriented Warehouse Operative to support day–to–day warehouse operations in Lymington. Working under close supervision, you will play a key role in the safe, accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, while maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Adhere strictly to all health and safety rules, procedures, and work instructionsReceive, unload, and store incoming raw materials and finished goodsCarry out internal stock movements following FIFO (First In, First Out) principlesPick, prepare, and stage customer orders accurately and on timePerform visual inspections of trucks, containers, and tankers to prevent product damageComplete and maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse activitiesOperate warehouse equipment safely, including completing daily forklift checksReport non–conforming products, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptlyMaintain a clean, tidy, and well–organised working environmentWork collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalentGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively with limited supervisionBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g. PRISM)

Desirable Skills & Experience

At least 1 year's experience in a warehouse or similar environmentValid forklift certification (Counterbalance and Reach)Understanding of inventory control and stock rotation processesSAP experience or training

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25kgRegular stair climbing and manual handling required
