Visiting Officer

Description

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Visiting Officer for a local authority client in West London.

In this role, you will conduct home visits, assess housing conditions, and ensure vulnerable residents receive the support they need to sustain safe, secure tenancies.

Duties:

Conduct home visits to assess property conditions, verify occupancy, and ensure accommodation is safe and suitable.

Identify and report risks such as safeguarding concerns, disrepair, tenancy fraud, or fire safety issues.

Support residents by offering housing advice, signposting to services, and helping sustain tenancies.

Record accurate data from visits to inform service improvements and contribute to housing solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

Experience conducting home visits or housing audits in social or private housing settings.

Proven ability to support residents in sustaining tenancies and accessing relevant services.

Strong understanding of housing legislation, safeguarding, and property condition assessments.

Confident in using housing systems, maintaining accurate records, and working independently.

What's on offer:

Salary: £22+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
