Description
Key Responsibilities:
Plan efficient routes and driver schedules using TMS to optimise national haulage network Tailoring daily transport plan to regional need and operational variances Observe and monitor adherence to UK/EU rules on driver working hours, breaks, and tachograph usage. Utilise network resource as needed across the network Record issues accross the operation and flag to appropraite senior leadership Utilise subcontractors and other external resource as necessary Skills Needed:
Strong decision–making and commercial judgment in time–sensitive, peak–demand environments Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with planning systems/TMS Familiar with inudstry legislation (VOSA) Experience in transport planning is necessary with a background in general haulage being highly advantageous
