Description
Role: Storeperson / Storeman (NG Person Substation)Location: Woolavington, Bridgwater, TA7 8EDRate: GBP22.50 per hour PAYE ONLYHours: 07:30 AM - 18:00 PM (30 min break) Monday - FridayDuration: 4 months
Our client, a leading multidisciplinary main contractor specialising in power, transmission, and distribution projects across the UK, is currently seeking an experienced Storeperson / Storeman to join them at Woolavington, Bridgwater, TA7 8ED.
As a Storeperson / Storeman, your duties will include:
Managing materials, plant, and equipment within a live National Grid substation environment
Logging deliveries, maintaining accurate stock records and issuing materials to site teams
Coordinating equipment movements with lift teams, supervisors, and plant operators
Supporting safe lifting operations when required
Keeping the stores area organised, clean, and compliant with project procedures
Working collaboratively with engineers and supervisors to support construction activities
Upholding National Grid and site safety standards at all times
The successful Storeperson / Storeman must hold:
NG Person Substation (National Grid Approved Person) - Essential
Manual Handling
Emergency First Aid at Work
Plant & Vehicle Marshal (PVM)
Slinger Signaller
Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
Supervisor Passport Scheme
Crane Lift Supervisor
Telehandler - Essential
COSHH Awareness
Fire Safety Awareness
