About the Role

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting for a Junior Production / Assembly Technician on behalf of our client based in Winchester, who specialise in the manufacturing of lighting systems. This role is ideal for a technically skilled individual with experience in soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly, who can work efficiently within a fast–paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out soldering and wiring tasksCompleting basic mechanical assembly, including drilling and cutting aluminiumReading and interpreting technical drawingsPerforming cable wiring, crimping, and solderingTesting products and completing production inspectionsWorking to tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standardsCommunicating effectively with team membersExperience & Skills Required

Minimum 2 years' hand soldering experience (essential)At least 2 years' professional assembly experienceAbility to read technical drawingsStrong attention to detail and problem–solving skillsReliable, self–motivated, and able to work under pressureGood written and verbal communication skillsThe Package
