Our client, a trusted name in defence and engineering solutions, is seeking a proactive and organised Procurement Buyer to support their Sales & Operations Manager in delivering efficient procurement services. The Ideal Candidate:

Experience:

Minimum 2 years' buying/procurement experienceFamiliarity with MRP systems (OrderWise experience a plus)Experience in supplier negotiation and invoice processingSkills:

Strong attention to detail and organisational skillsProficient in MS OfficeExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasksQualifications:

CIPS Level 2 (or working towards)GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics

Key Responsibilities:

Raise and process RFQs/RFIs and purchase ordersNegotiate pricing and ensure financial authority complianceUpdate MRP system with compliance and safety dataPerform first–level invoice checks against POsManage supplier relationships and chase late deliveriesMaintain approved supplier lists and compliance documentationLiaise with internal teams including sales administrationAnswer and direct customer calls professionally
