Transport Planner – Birmingham – Growing Transport Planning Consultancy

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)

Salary: 30,000 – 40,000 (DOE)

Type: Full–time, Permanent

I'm currently working with a well–established and forward–thinking transport planning consultancy based in central Birmingham. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they're looking to bring on a Transport Planner to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in development planning who wants to work across a diverse range of projects–including residential, commercial, and mixed–use schemes–within a collaborative and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare transport assessments, travel plans, and technical notes to support planning applicationsUndertake junction modelling (using ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG) and trip generation analysis (TRICS)Liaise with local authorities, clients, and other consultantsAssist with data collection, site visits, and feasibility assessmentsStay up to date with transport planning policy and guidanceRequirements:

Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or similarMinimum 1–2 years' experience in a transport planning/development planning roleProficiency with standard transport planning software (e.g., TRICS, Junctions, LINSIG)Strong written and verbal communication skillsA proactive and detail–oriented approachWhat's on Offer:
