Description
Role: Pricing Specialist - Ocean Freight
Location: Solihull, West Midlands
Salary: From GBP32k + bonuses
Work Pattern: Office Based, Mon - Fri 08:00am - 16:00pm / 09:00am - 17:00pm
We are working with one of the largest privately owned international freight forwarding companies with multiple office across the country, who are actively on the lookout out for a Pricing Specialist specialising in Ocean Freight.
This company has been established for over 35+ years and are continuing to grow in the industry.
Duties:
Negotiate rates with carriers / hauliers / suppliersPrepare and submit customer quotations and proposals within agreed timeframeWork within our in-house system to create and issue quotationsCommunicate with customers to manage and follow up all quotesAdjusting pricing where possible to ensure we secure opportunities.Develop and build relationships and provide the highest level of customer service to all customersSkills:
Strong analytical thinking skillsExcellent attention to detailProactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skillsAble to cope and accustomed to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlinesStrong numerical and commercial skillsIndustry and operational knowledge of Ocean freight - inbound, outbound, and cross tradeIf you have the right skillset/ experience and are ready to make the next move to join an industry leading company, then apply today!
