The Best Connection Group are currently recruiting Parcel Sorters to join our well–established client based in the Shrewsbury area.

Position: Parcel Sorter

Location: Shrewsbury (SY1 3AS)

Hours: Flexible shifts available as required:

AM Shift: 02:30 – 07:00PM Shift: 17:30 – 21:30Pay Rate: 12.71 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary, Ad Hoc

The Role

This is a fast–paced warehouse position working within a busy parcel distribution environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for sorting parcels accurately and efficiently to ensure they are ready for onward delivery.

Duties Include:

Sorting parcels into designated locationsLoading and unloading parcelsScanning and processing itemsWorking to deadlines in a busy warehouse environmentManual handling of parcelsKeeping the work area clean and safeFollowing health and safety proceduresWorking effectively as part of a team

Requirements:

Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essentialAbility to work in a fast–paced environmentGood attention to detailReliable and punctualPhysically fit due to the nature of the roleGood communication skillsAbility to work well within a teamMust be flexible, as shifts can vary between early morning and evening hours and work is offered on an ad hoc basis
