Job Title: Minibus Driver

Location: Hydesville Tower School, Walsall, WS1 2QG

Salary: £16,700.15 per annum (not pro rata)

Hours: 32 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: November 2026

About the School

Role Purpose

We're looking for a Minibus Driver to join our team, providing safe and professional transport for our students. This is more than just a driving role. You'll be a friendly face each day, helping students travel to and from school safely while building positive relationships with families and colleagues.

As a Minibus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently, ensuring every journey is delivered with the highest standards of care, professionalism and customer service.

You'll play a vital role in supporting students' attendance, wellbeing and access to education, while representing the school positively within the local community.

What you will be doing

Safely transport students to and from school and other approved locations.

Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Ensure passenger safety and compliance with all transport and road safety regulations.

Carry out vehicle checks and promptly report any defects, hazards or concerns.

Maintain accurate records and comply with driver hours, CPC and transport regulations.

Support the school's safeguarding culture by reporting any concerns appropriately.

What you will bring

Hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 24 months), D1 PCV entitlement and valid Driver CPC.

Experienced in driving passenger-carrying vehicles safely and professionally.

A confident communicator who builds positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Flexible, reliable and able to adapt to changing situations.

Committed to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high safety standards.

Dedicated to safeguarding, wellbeing and supporting young people.
