Maintenance Officer

Glasgow Area

Full-Time | Temp

We are working with a well-established and respected housing provider to recruit an experienced Maintenance Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality housing services and making a genuine difference within local communities.

The Role

As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe and comfortable environment for tenants. You will oversee reactive and planned maintenance, working closely with contractors, tenants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day reactive maintenance and repairs

Oversee planned maintenance programmes and cyclical works

Monitor contractor performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money

Carry out property inspections, including voids and post-inspections

Ensure all works comply with health & safety and regulatory standards

Respond to tenant enquiries and resolve maintenance issues efficiently

Maintain accurate records and reporting

About You

Previous experience in a maintenance, repairs, or property role within social housing

Strong knowledge of building maintenance and compliance requirements

Experience managing contractors and monitoring performance

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively

Full UK driving licence (essential)
