Housing support officer

Rate - Competitve

Contract Lenght - 6 months

This role is a Housing Support Officer position, supporting individuals rebuild their lives following displacement and resettlement in the UK.

This opportunity sits within a specialist support service focused on helping vulnerable adults access stable housing, develop independent living skills, and successfully integrate into the local community.

Key responsibilities include:

* Carrying out housing and support assessments to identify individual needs

* Developing tailored action plans focused on long-term accommodation outcomes

* Assisting service users with securing and maintaining appropriate housing

* Liaising with property providers, statutory services, and external partners

* Representing and advocating for clients in relation to housing matters

* Managing a varied caseload while maintaining clear and accurate case notes

The successful candidate will have:

* Experience supporting displaced individuals, newly settled communities, or vulnerable adults facing housing barriers

* Understanding of the challenges linked to relocation, settlement, and accessing services within the UK

* Knowledge of tenancy support, xjnqpsq welfare systems, and housing-related legislation

* Experience working collaboratively with external agencies and support networks

* Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively

* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
