Description

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established Social Housing provider to recruit an experienced Housing Officer for an exciting temporary opportunity within a busy neighbourhood team across Devon.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced housing environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality tenancy and estate management services.

You will take ownership of a general needs housing patch, managing the full spectrum of tenancy and estate responsibilities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can quickly adapt, build strong relationships with residents, and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities of a Housing Officer:

Manage a general needs housing patch with full accountability

Deliver end-to-end tenancy management, including rent collection, ASB cases, and estate management

Lead on rent collection and arrears recovery, driving performance outcomes

Carry out home visits and build strong tenant relationships

Conduct estate inspections and maintain high neighbourhood standards

Enforce tenancy agreements, addressing breaches professionally and consistently

Work collaboratively with internal teams to support service deliveryWhat We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Housing Officer or in a Tenancy Management role

Strong background in rent collection and arrears management

Experience managing a housing patch independently

Comfortable carrying out home visits and estate xjnqpsq inspections

Resilient and confident handling challenging situations

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload
