Description

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homeless Housing Coordinator for a local authority client in North London.

In this role, you will work with individuals and families at risk of homelessness, using housing knowledge to prevent evictions, secure sustainable accommodation, and safeguard vulnerable residents through collaborative, solution-focused interventions.

Duties:

Conduct home visits and assessments to identify housing risks and develop prevention plans.

Provide expert advice on housing options, welfare benefits, and legal rights under homelessness legislation.

Manage cases involving possession orders, evictions, and homelessness decision-making.

Work with partners to safeguard vulnerable adults and children and promote housing sustainment.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

Proven experience in homelessness prevention, housing advice, or tenancy sustainment.

Strong knowledge of housing legislation, the Homelessness Reduction Act, and related case law.

Experience handling complex casework, including evictions and possession proceedings.

Background in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children within a housing context.

What's on offer:

Salary: £27ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
