HGV1 Night Container Driver

Description

Streamline Recruitment is searching HGV1 drivers to work for our customer in the Tilbury area. This will be regular work, Monday to Friday on–going until further notice. There are currently only night positions available but day positions may become available in the future, so please let us know if this would be of interest to you.

This will be container work, however previous container experience is not required.

Most shifts will start at Tilbury port and will then be running out of DP World at London Gateway, so any experience of these ports would be useful but is not essential.

Candidates will need to complete an assessment and induction, details as follows:

Start dates are currently TBC but should be within the next 1–2 weeks. Work should then commence at the start of the following week after assessment/indction. Only night positions are available for this intake. Additional details:

Candidates will be paid for attending the assessment subject to passing, you will then move on to the paid induction the following day. If you do not pass the assessment unfortunately there will be no payment. Candidates must have the following documents:

C+E licence with 1 year of practical experience Digital tachograph card Drivers CPC card Note: A DPW card for London Gateway port and a Rhides card for Felixstowe port would be useful, however these are not essential as we can make arrangements for you to obtain these cards.

Payment information:

PAYE: Days – GBP16.25 per hour / Nights – GBP17.25 per hour

Umbrella: Days – GBP19.00 per hour / Nights – GBP20.00 per hour
