Description
HGV technician
This successful manufacturing company is recruiting for an HGV technician in Doncaster working Monday–Friday day shifts (no weekends). The position is to work in–house in their own fleet workshop maintaining their trucks and trailers.
The role:
Service, maintain, prepare for MOT, and repair a fleet of mixed commercial vehicles. Build your product knowledge of a variety of makes and models of HGV trucks and trailers. Diagnose faults and repair accordingly Complete all repair work in–house where possible, using the full range of your technical skills. Working shifts between 6am and 8pm, Mon–Fri with occasional overtime available This position is based to the north of Doncaster with free staff parking on site.
The HGV technician should:
Be a fully qualified vehicle technician or HGV mechanic with NVQ level 3, IMI advanced level apprenticeship, City and Guilds level 2, or equivalent qualifications. Have good experience of working as an HGV technician on a range of rigid and articulated trucks and trailers. Have a full driving licence, preferably with HGV class 1 or 2 entitlement (CE or C)
