Location: BirtleyJob Type: PermanentSalary: 20 per hourWorking Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pmWe are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy, well–established workshop in Birtley. This hands–on role involves carrying out maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a modern fleet, ensuring all vehicles remain road–safe and compliant. As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in keeping vehicles operational and supporting the smooth running of day–to–day transport activities.

Day–to–day of the role:

Carry out MOT preparations to ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards.Perform repairs, diagnostics, and fault–finding on HGVs.Complete scheduled PMI inspections to required compliance levels.Ensure all work is accurate, timely, and logged correctly.Maintain workshop safety and follow company procedures.Conduct road tests where required.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Valid Wagon Licence (HGV Licence).Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician.Strong understanding of MOT prep, repairs, and PMI processes.Ability to work independently and manage workload.Reliable, safety–focused, and capable of maintaining high standards.Benefits:
