Description
Our client is a well–known and reputable HGV dealership based in Livingston. Currently they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic to join their busy depot.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs and trailers Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults Conduct MOT preparations and safety checks Complete service sheets and repair documentation accurately Work to DVSA standards and company policies Perform roadside breakdown support when required Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment Requirements
NVQ Level 3 in HGV Maintenance or equivalent (or strong experience) Proven experience as an HGV Technician/Mechanic Good understanding of HGV systems including engines, brakes, electrics and diagnostics Full UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 1/2 beneficial but not required) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem–solving skills and attention to detail Perks
