HGV Driver with HIAB

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 HGV Truck Driver with HIAB training and experience to join our team at our clients oil terminal in Shetland supporting our civils operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo and operating the HIAB on the vehicle.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit.

Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving class 2 hgv.

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with class 2 vehicles with hiab.

Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.

Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

The role is temp contracting role minimum of 3 x 2 week trips

All flights, accommodation and meals will be accounted for

Client will supply vehicle

All PPE supplied

Accommodation will be camp located in shetland

Security disclosure will be required, cost would be reimbursed if mobilised

12hr shifts apply 7 day working

Pay: GBP23.00-GBP25.00 per hour
