Description
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry–leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Shifts: 40 hours a week across Monday to Sunday
Days Nights Hours:
Days– 04:00am – 05:00am starts through week, Sunday is 11am – 12pm starts Nights– 01:30am start Twilight– 15:30pm (finish time around 00:00am) Pay Rate:
Days– 14.60 per hour PAYE Nights– 15.61 per hour PAYE Twilight– 14.60 per hour PAYE Location: Plymouth, PL6
Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent
The role:
Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
Handling runs with 1–5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
Excellent communication skills.
