Head of Sustainability

Location: Kings Hill base

Are you passionate about driving meaningful change in sustainability, social value and the built environment? This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking Sustainability & ESG Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering an ambitious strategy that supports growth plans and commitment to becoming a highly sustainable, net-carbon group of businesses. You'll be at the heart of defining the ESG vision, embedding sustainable practices across the organisation, and championing initiatives that create long-term value for communities, partners and stakeholders.

The Role

As Head of Sustainability, you will lead the development and implementation of a new group-wide sustainability and ESG strategy, including a net-carbon homes offering. Your work will directly influence the organisation's long-term direction, ensuring sustainability is fully integrated into decision-making and operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Shape, deliver and promote the Group Sustainability Strategy, including establishing baseline data in year oneSet, monitor and report on targets aligned to the strategySecure senior-level commitment to embedding sustainable development across the businessWork closely with the ESG Committee to support delivery of the Group ESG PlanAct as an internal consultant, advising teams on sustainability initiativesCoordinate group-wide data gathering and internal reporting for external ESG disclosuresSupport internal and external sustainability communicationsDevelop operational metrics, track progress and update stakeholdersRepresent the organisation as a spokesperson on sustainability and social valueCreate and implement engagement strategies to raise awareness of sustainability initiativesBuild and strengthen relationships with NGOs, think tanks, trade associations, policy makers, local authorities and partners About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about social value, construction and community engagementSkilled at communicating and influencing at all levelsExperienced in delivering Sustainability and Social Value programmesConfident presenting internally and externallyStrategic in approach, with the ability to influence senior leadersStrong in project management, with a results-driven mindsetKnowledgeable about sustainability and social value trends, including key stakeholders and industry bodiesFamiliar with investor expectations around ESG performance Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

Experience in a similar Sustainability or ESG roleProven track record delivering group-wide sustainability strategiesStrong Microsoft Office skillsFull clean UK driving licence Desirable:
