Bristol Magistrates' Court is a key justice centre located on Marlborough Street in the heart of the city (BS1 3NU). It handles a wide range of cases, including criminal matters and first‑instance hearings.

Your new role

Bristol Magistrates' Courts are now seeking a General Operative to join their on-site maintenance team. This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth running of the building through general maintenance and repair tasks.

Role ResponsibilitiesAs a General Operative, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

General handy-person duties across the site

Repairing toilets, door handles, and completing basic maintenance tasks

Carrying out light painting work as required

Jet washing and general site upkeep

Completing PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) checks

Accurately completing associated paperwork

Working efficiently in a fast-paced environmentMonday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:303 months temporary

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have:

Experience in a similar handy-person or maintenance role

Strong DIY skills and attention to detail

Good communication skills

Confidence working with subcontractors and the on-site teamWhat you'll get in return
