£75 per hour (Umbrella)

Initial 6-month contract | Full-time

A West London Local Authority is looking to appoint a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2F) on an initial 6-month contract to support service demand across their Building Control team.

This role is ideal for an experienced RBI who is comfortable managing plan checking and site inspections across a varied caseload of domestic and non-complex commercial schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

·Undertake plan checking and site inspections in line with Class 2F registration

·Assess compliance with Building Regulations and associated standards

·Provide clear and professional advice to applicants, contractors and developers

·Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring statutory timescales are met

·Support enforcement activity and contribute to maintaining service performance

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

·Registered Building Inspector Class 2F status

·Previous experience within a Local Authority Building Control service

·Sound technical knowledge of Building Regulations and Approved Documents

·Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads independently

·Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
