As part of our continued growth, we are now looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our ambitious team in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced recruiter who is passionate about building long-term client relationships, developing a high-performing desk, and becoming a key player in an expanding business that genuinely understands its market.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Consultant, your role will involve both client and candidate relationship management, with a strong focus on delivering tailored solutions that support business growth. You will also play a key role in the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are successfully integrated into the business with a professional, engaging, and thorough induction experience across all departments.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing and growing relationships with existing and new clients across the trade and construction industries

* Posting engaging and targeted job adverts across a variety of platforms

* Proactively sourcing, registering, and onboarding high-quality candidates

* Leading end-to-end onboarding, including scheduling and delivering in-depth induction sessions with every department to ensure a smooth and impactful start for new hires

* Ensuring all compliance and documentation is completed to the highest standards

* Providing a first-class experience for both clients and candidates

* Taking full ownership of your desk with a clear focus on revenue growth and account expansion

* Accurately maintaining all records within our recruitment database (Temp ID)

* Supporting out-of-hours communications and responding to urgent client needs as part of a shared rota

* Regularly reporting performance updates and contributing to team KPIs

* Using your problem-solving and negotiation skills to resolve challenges and deliver solutions

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in recruitment (5+ years preferred), with a strong track record in managing and growing client accounts

A results-driven, proactive, and commercially-minded approach with the ability to own and grow a recruitment desk

Exceptional communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills

High-level candidate sourcing, headhunting, and networking abilities

Strong IT literacy – confident using CRM systems, job boards, and Microsoft Office

Commercially savvy and highly responsive to client and candidate needs

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-performance environment

A polished, professional manner with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service

Highly outgoing and confident in presenting to groups, with the ability to engage and inspire during induction sessions

Strong public speaking and facilitation skills, able to adapt tone and style for different audiences

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Driving licence preferred
