Live-in Property Maintenance and Housekeeping Couple – Oxfordshire

We are architects and designers looking for a reliable, practical and trustworthy couple to help with the renovation and ongoing care of our large family home with gardens and outbuildings in Oxfordshire.

A private, self-contained one-bedroom annexe with its own kitchen, bathroom and living area is provided.

Role 1 – Property Maintenance and Renovation

The main role is for an experienced multi-skilled tradesperson able to undertake a broad range of work, including:

Plastering and making good
Painting and decorating
Flooring
Carpentry
Tiling
Basic plumbing
Non-certifiable electrical work
General repairs and maintenance
Fencing and garden structures
Gardening and grounds maintenance
Coordinating with specialist trades where required

As architects, we value good workmanship, attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to materials and finishes.

Role 2 – Part-Time Housekeeping

The second role is part-time and will include:

General cleaning and housekeeping
Laundry and ironing
Changing bed linen
Preparing guest rooms
Keeping the house organised
Occasional errands or light garden work

We are looking for a couple who are:

Reliable, honest and discreet
Comfortable working independently
Practical and able to solve problems
Tidy and respectful of a family home
Able to provide references
Legally entitled to work in the UK

A driving licence and own vehicle would be helpful.

The position is expected to begin in the first week of September 2026 and initially run for 6–12 months, with the possibility of continuing longer.

Competitive remuneration will be agreed according to experience.
