Handyman / Maintenance Operative (Part-Time → Potential Full-Time)

Location: NW2 (Office base) – covering London & surrounding areas

Company: Universal Credit For Homes To Let

We are a growing property management and social housing company based in NW2, North-West London, managing HMOs, flats, and houses across:

North London
South London
West London
Watford

We are looking for a reliable, experienced Handyman / Maintenance Operative to join our team.

Hours & Pay

£15 per hour
25 hours per week to start
Potential to increase hours as the role grows
PAYE or self-employed (to be discussed)

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Must be a driver with access to a vehicle
Must have own tools suitable for general maintenance work
Strong timekeeping – punctuality is essential
Able to be on standby during working days for urgent repairs
Willing to travel between multiple properties

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

Fixing and assembling beds, wardrobes, doors
General plumbing work (leaks, taps, toilets, pipe issues)
Identifying and diagnosing property issues
Dealing with active leaks and urgent maintenance
Installing lockboxes and fittings
Carrying out minor repairs and general upkeep
Reporting issues clearly to the office team

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in general building and maintenance
Comfortable working independently
Experience in HMOs or rental properties is highly desirable
Formal qualifications not essential, but experience is a must

Proof of Work Required
