Description

Multi-Trade Builder: Based on New Malden - potential projects across the UK (typically about 1-4 hours drive from New Malden).

About Us:

We are a specialist construction and repair company dedicated to providing exceptional services across the UK. Our clients often include individuals who are highly sensitive to damp, mould, and chemicals, which makes precision, cleanliness, and environmental control essential aspects of our work.

Our reputation is built on high-quality craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. We operate within a unique niche that demands professionalism, respect for health and safety protocols, and a shared commitment to our company’s values and standards.

Our projects frequently involve working within controlled containment areas to prevent the spread of dust and mould spores. Team members must be prepared to wear protective suits and masks (conditions may become warm) and adhere strictly to entry and exit protocols. Full compliance with these measures is mandatory.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Multi-Trade Builder to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in general building and a willingness to learn specialist techniques related to containment and environmental safety.

This role offers excellent long-term potential for the right individual to develop into a Team Leader, managing small site teams (typically 2–3 people) and overseeing project delivery and cost control once fully trained in our methods.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general building tasks with accuracy and professionalism.

Cut and replace plasterboard, carry out small plastering tiling, etc.

Replace skirting boards and complete other carpentry tasks (e.g., fabricating skirting from boards).

Assist with the setup and dismantling of containment areas.

Work within containment zones while wearing PPE at all times.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Adhere to all health and safety protocols and site procedures.

Travel to projects across the UK (typically within a 1–4-hour radius of London, with occasional longer distances).

Stay overnight on assignments as required (1–4 nights). Accommodation is provided for locations more than 1.5 hours from New Malden.

Requirements:

Proven experience in general building, maintenance, or construction work.

Ability to work effectively in confined or warm environments while wearing PPE.

Eagerness to learn and apply new skills, particularly in containment setup.

Flexibility to travel extensively and stay overnight for work.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

A van and full set of tools are required for those aiming to progress into a Team Leader role.

What We Offer:

Competitive pay, based on experience and the specialist nature of containment work.

Accommodation provided for overnight stays.

Progression opportunity to a Team Leader position, with an enhanced pay structure once responsibilities increase.

Team Leaders are reimbursed for their own travel costs and are expected to transport their small team.

Initial work will be completed as part of our core team at a lower rate until capability is demonstrated.

CIS payment (Construction Industry Scheme) with tax deducted and paid directly to HMRC.

Please note: Applicants unfamiliar with CIS should not apply.

Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.

A supportive, collaborative team environment.

How to Apply:

If you meet the above criteria and are interested in joining our team, please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you believe you are a strong fit for this role.

We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified individuals.
