Description

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Estimator / Quotation Coordinator to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £35k Per Annum

Location: Manchester but nationwide coverage

Benefits: Company car and expense card provided

About The Company:

The Company delivers reactive and planned maintenance for commercial clients across the UK. They are looking for an organised, commercially aware Estimator / Quotation Coordinator to prepare quotations and help move remedial works from initial enquiry through to approval.

You’ll work closely with the engineers, suppliers and operations team, making sure quotes cover the right work, reflect realistic costs and reach their clients promptly.

What you’ll be doing:

Preparing quotations from engineer reports, photographs, site surveys and client requests.
Attending sites to carry out surveys, assess requirements and gather information for accurate quotations.
Pricing labour, materials, access equipment and subcontractor works across a range of maintenance trades.
Obtaining supplier and subcontractor prices, checking availability and lead times.
Writing clear scopes of work, including relevant assumptions and exclusions.
Checking costs and margins before submitting quotations.
Requesting further information where reports or job requirements are unclear.
Tracking outstanding quotes, following up with clients and responding to queries.
Updating our job management system with accurate costs, notes and supporting documents.
Handing approved works over to the operations team with clear instructions.
Reviewing completed job costs to improve the accuracy of future estimates.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in estimating, quotations or costing within facilities maintenance, building maintenance or a related trade.
A practical understanding of common maintenance works, materials and labour requirements.
Strong attention to detail and confidence working with figures.
The ability to manage several quotations at once and meet deadlines.
Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with engineers, clients and suppliers.
Good IT skills, including Excel and online job management systems.
A proactive approach and the confidence to ask questions before pricing a job.
A full driving licence is essential, as travel to client sites for surveys is required.

Food and beverage sector experience would be an advantage, as this forms the main client base. Experience pricing works for hospitality, retail or other commercial premises would also be beneficial. We’d welcome applications from someone with a trade background who is ready to move into an estimating role.

If you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now for immediate consideration.
