Description
Steel framed traditional British touring bike. 54cm (21 inches) centre of bottom bracket to top of seat tube. 55cm (21 1/2 inches) top tube (centre of head tube to centre of seat tube). I'm 5 feet 9 inches and it fits me well as set up.
I bought the frameset second hand to build up and believe it to be a resprayed 1990's Raleigh Randonneur with Reynolds 708 tubing. The frame and fittings ( including chainstay spare spoke holders) were consistent with this model.
Shimano Ultegra 9 speed bar-end shifters, Deore front and rear derailleurs.
Spa cycles triple chainset 46/34/24 and Shimano 9 speed rear cassette up to 36 teeth. This gives a wide gear range including real 'granny gears'.
Shimano cantilever brakes with Tektro levers.
Mavic A319 36 spoke wheelset with Continental Ride Tour tyres.
Complete with Nimrod rear rack and useful kickstand.
The bike rides well and has been toured in France but I'm not using it much these days and need to make some room in the garage.
