I let the worker , Argos . Fill in his own reveiw on my device. He gave me a price all in £250 I paid him the money in cash as heid asked - he then wanted an extra £50 saying it is for the materials. I had paid him all in £250 i didn’t have any more money to give him . I’m a pensioner and housebound with illness. Live alone in a council house. In checking his work done the next day 3-10-24 the 4 ends of the shelves are all a different distance to the shelve brackets. None are the same distance in size. Worker made extra holes in the underside of the shelve , where he made mistake with lining up and moved the brackets over as it was wonky assembled. The smaller shelves the worker didn’t smooth off the edging of the shelve that he’d put the edging on.i feel cheated and I would like to ask for half of what I paid that worker for this all in job - that is a mess and for this work to be corrected - I will have to get new shelves made for the job to be done correctly. I am unwell as it is without this result of really bad work, here in my home from that worker . I wasn’t aware till I checked yesterday - so thank you for contacting me. And if this worker doesn’t give me half of what I paid him back to me - I will contact bark myself and report him to them. The worker also didn’t give me a receipt for the £250 that I gave to him cash. The worker gave me a receipt - when I looked at it , it was wicks - materials receipt. On top I am suffering influencer . So I could not check with everything straight away.
