Are you a skilled seamstress with a passion for quality craftsmanship? We’re looking for a reliable, talented professional to join our growing alterations team in Brighton – working from the comfort of your own home or studio.
🔹 About the Role:
You’ll be working on a variety of garments, including daywear, occasion wear, and (if experienced) bridalwear. We offer flexible working hours and a steady stream of freelance work. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to work independently while contributing to a reputable local business.
🔹 Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality alterations: hemming, tapering, taking in/out, zip replacements, repairs, and custom adjustments
Manage your own time and workspace to complete jobs to deadline
Maintain clear communication with the team regarding timelines and specifications
Optional: Assist with fittings (on-site or remotely, if applicable)
🔹 Requirements:
Proven experience in garment alterations
Access to a sewing machine and tools in a clean, smoke-free environment
Based in or near Brighton, UK
Fitting experience preferable
Bridal alterations preferred but not essential
A friendly and patient personality with excellent customer service skills
Reliable and able to deliver consistent, professional results
