Daily Rate: £90-£100

Location: Mainstream primary school, Mitcham, Greater London

Contract: Term‑time only (approx. 39 weeks/year), full‑time hours

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Year 4 classroom. You will collaborate with the class teacher to facilitate engaging lessons, deliver small-group or one-to-one support, and help nurture a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum delivery in class.

Providing tailored support to individuals and small groups under teacher guidance.

Preparing and managing teaching materials and classroom resources.

Monitoring and reporting pupil progress and behaviour.

Promoting positive social and emotional development amongst pupils.This role typifies primary TA positions in Mitcham, where daily rates for supply and temporary roles generally fall between £95 and £110,

What We're Looking For

Previous experience with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2 / Year 4.

A calm, patient, and positive demeanor.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.

GCSEs (C/4 or above) in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications. NVQ Level 2/3 or CACHE qualifications in Supporting Teaching & Learning are desirable but not essential.

Enhanced DBS certification (or willingness to obtain), and legal right to work in the UK.
