● Behaviour Management: Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote a calm, structured, and safe environment. Implement de-escalation techniques when needed and ensure children are comfortable and supported at all times.

● Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members, volunteers, and parents to ensure the success of each session. Communicate regularly with parents to provide feedback on their child's progress or any concerns.

● Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and any relevant notes regarding children's needs and progress. Complete any required reports or paperwork.

● Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring that all children are protected and their needs are prioritized. Report any concerns according to safeguarding protocols.

● Health & Safety: Ensure that all activities are risk-assessed and safe for children with SEND. Conduct safety checks in the environment (e.g., ensuring equipment is suitable for use). Respond to any medical emergencies or incidents following established procedures.

● Professional Development: Attend regular training and team meetings, keeping up-to-date with SEND practices and techniques. Participate in supervision sessions and contribute to the development of the service.
