About Us:

We are a teaching agency working with an inclusive, vibrant and popular primary school in the Borough of Redbridge who are looking for an experienced Year 1 teacher.

About The Client:

We are working with a thriving and successful primary school in Ilford, in the London Borough of Redbridge. The school is dedicated to ensuring every child strives to achieve the very best for themselves. They are looking for a full-time Year 1 teacher to join them from January -July 2027 for a maternity cover. If you would like to work as a Year 1 Teacher, please read on! Please note ECTs are not being considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities for the Year 1 Teacher:

* Ability to work successfully as part of a team as a Year 1 Teacher

* Raise standards for all pupils, including underachieving pupils

* Promote positive behaviour conducive to learning, focused on raising standards

* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback accordingly.

* Contribute to the wider initiatives within the school as a Year 1 Teacher. xjnqpsq

* Carry out all responsibilities as a Year 1 Teacher

Required Skills and Qualifications for the Year 1 Teacher:

* QTS

* Strong behaviour management

* Good understanding of the National Curriculum

* Excellent knowledge Phonics

* Prior experience teaching as a Year 1 teacher

* UK classroom-based experience
