Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting Unqualified Teachers to work across a number of secondary schools in Wigan. We work with partner schools that regularly require confident and enthusiastic individuals to deliver pre-planned lessons on a daily supply, long-term, fixed-term and temporary to permanent basis throughout the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, instructors and professionals with experience leading groups of young people who are looking to build a career within education.

As an Unqualified Teacher, you'll play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning by delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged in their work during teacher absence. You'll gain experience across a range of subjects and school settings while receiving ongoing support from Tradewind Recruitment.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Creating a positive and productive learning environment

Encouraging students to remain focused and engaged

Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons

Building positive relationships with students and school colleagues

We are looking for candidates who:

Hold a degree or have relevant experience working with young people

Have excellent communication and organisational skills

Are confident leading groups of students

Are adaptable, resilient and enthusiastic

Are considering a future career in teaching or education

Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
