This is a full-time position starting in February and is well suited to someone with strong early years experience and a genuine interest in supporting children’s early learning and development within a school-based Early Years setting.

About Early Years Unit

The Early Years is an integral part of the primary school and provides a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Staff work closely together to ensure children feel safe, supported and confident as they begin their early learning journey.

A strong emphasis is placed on outdoor learning, with regular opportunities for children to explore, investigate and engage with the natural environment. The Early Years values child-led play, positive relationships and high-quality care that supports children’s development from the earliest stages.

The Role

As a Practitioner working with children from nine months old, you will play an important role in supporting children’s learning, care and development. * Observe and assess children’s progress, contributing to learning journeys through observations and photographs

* Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised learning environment

* Work collaboratively with Nursery and school staff, contributing to a positive team ethos

* Follow safeguarding procedures at all times, ensuring children’s welfare and safety

* Communicate effectively with parents and carers, sharing information about children’s development

* Knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and child development

* Reliability, flexibility and a commitment to high standards

Why Join This School
