Job Title: Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Longsight, Manchester

Contract Type: Agency (with potential for temporary to permanent)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Working Pattern: Term Time Only

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Longsight, Manchester. This is a full-time position within school hours, supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour and additional needs.

This role is initially offered through an agency, with a strong opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Support students with behavioural, emotional, or learning needs in the classroom

Implement positive behaviour management strategies in line with Team Teach principles

Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored support

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions

Help maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively

Essential Requirements

Valid Team Teach training (essential)

Experience working in a school or similar setting

Strong behaviour management skills

Calm, patient, and resilient approach

Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

Desirable

Experience supporting students with SEN (e.g. SEMH, ASD, ADHD)

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Relevant education or childcare qualifications xjnqpsq
