The Position - Teaching Assistant

A welcoming primary school in Lambeth is seeking a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. You will be working within a specialist SEN unit, supporting children with a range of different and complex needs.The pupils within the unit have varying levels of need and may require support with communication, learning, behaviour, emotional regulation, sensory needs and independence. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team to provide consistent and individualised support throughout the school day.You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities. You will also support their social and emotional development, communication skills and independence.Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, particularly experience supporting pupils with complex needs. The school is looking for someone who is patient, resilient, proactive and passionate about making a positive difference.
